So, this is a new series that I'll be doing. Basically, I give you some criteria, and then you hit automakers' websites in an attempt to configure your dream garage based on said criteria.
Here are the limitations for the first round:
Total vehicle cost may not exceed $120,000.
You have two garage bays to fill.
As you can see, I'm going fairly easy on you. (Later on, we'll get into country of origin restrictions and whatnot.) Here's how I'd spend my money:
Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat ($67,075)
Because Hellcat. No manual tranny option on the Charger for whatever reason.
BMW 328i xDrive Wagon ($52,900)
Daily driver, since it's a wagon. Unfortunately you can't get a manual on this one either.
Now it's your turn. Get going!

Silverado LT Z71 ~$40K
5.3L V8, 4WD, Double cab, for working and hauling and camping.
CTS V-Sport $63K,
3.6TT V6, sedan, *couldn't get pictures because Kinja* black, w black leather, wanted the V-Sport premium but couldn't get prices.

I'd get the other Hellcat for $60,990. Much cheaper, much more badass (in appearance, anyway) and much more manual.
Then I have $59,010 left... So I'd get a plain white Tesla. $58,570 after $12,500 in state and federal incentives.

Am I correct in assuming that these have to be new cars? As in being sold currently?
![]() 03/14/2015 at 14:20 |

Yep.

Preferably. Unless you can find a virtual configurator somewhere for used cars.

2015 Challenger R/T Plus - My options put it at $39,370 but can be easily negotiated to under $39,000. Not the actual car pictured below.
Even though Jaguar took down their page for the 2015 F-Type, the 2016 page does not have pricing.
The base price of the 2015 F-Type S V6 Convertible is $81,000, so the 2016 V6S manuél is probably around that too.

I wanted to add a GC-SRT, but the budget didn't work out.

~$75k for sunny roads and track

There is just no other way.

I think I'd be completely fine with this Rapide. Because Aston, V12, and 4 seats. $108,900.
Or maybe an NA Miata on the side!

Once we factor in taxes here in Canada and other costs we're basically on par with the budget :)

Ah, I see. I was looking at the US prices. ;)

What if I already own a prefect car for the wife and thus only need to fill one garage spot?

Then you only need to fill one garage spot.

And the wife gets to keep her 98 e320 4matic wagon. Which she absolutely loves. She doesn't need a new car because she and our daughter would just trash the inside of it. We paid $2650 for it.
